World Demand in Construction Machinery

The net world demand is projected to expand $171 billion in 2015 at the rate of around 6.5%, matching the former year 2005- 2010 rate of growth. After a constant loss (2008-2010), the equipment sale is expected to regroup sharply in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Hitachi- John Deere Collaboration

It was 1964, Hitachi and John Deere started their product to share and it was the start of their relationship. After setting up an office in USA in 1978, Hitachi delivered their 157- ton UH801 Shovel.

The big step came in 1983, when John Deere was impressed by their design and reliability and turned to HCM to deliver their next-generation excavators.

In 1988, a 50/50 joint venture relationship was established between these two companies and Deere- Hitachi Construction Machinery Corporation was formed. For marketing support for each other, they established a few plants.

In 2002, Hitachi and Deere combined their training, information systems, marketing and product support operations. The goal was to enhance their customer support, marketing efforts and effectively participate in Central, North and South America. Today, both Hitachi and John-Deere are committed to supporting each other of both brands of products.

In the American region, Hitachi Construction is providing lots of support for customers to increase their performance as well as their machine’s performance. They offer various programs of training and through the warranty period, Hitachi construction mechanics stand by to ensure customers’ full satisfaction. Many companies use Maintenance and Repair Contracts (MARC). Every Hitachi dealer also uses MARC at a competitive cost.
